Dreamland Educational Park-visiting places in Gaibandha

A private initiative has built Dreamland Educational Park in Harinmari village of Palashbari upazila, Gaibandha district. The park is the most visiting places in Gaibandha.In 1995, Rashidunnabi Chand, a prominent businessman, built this recreation center on about 17 acres of land in Gaibandha district town. Full of natural beauty, Dreamland Educational Park has native and exotic trees, flower gardens, sculptures, and various installations. Upon entering Dreamland Park through the main gate, you’ll be struck by a variety of native and foreign flower trees adorning both sides of the narrow road. Dreamland Educational Park has a beautiful pond surrounded by greenery in the middle. And between the trees, there are sculptures of 255 world-renowned scientists and geniuses. Furthermore, there is also a huge map of Bangladesh, a map of the Palashi battlefield, animal sculptures, and various sports facilities.

Friendship Center

A rural training center, inspired by Mahasthangahr’s ancient urban ruins, serves as a hub for NGO staff training in char communities. The design, reflecting the monastic aesthetic of the 3rd century BC site, blends local hand-made bricks with modern materials like reinforced concrete, timber, and stone. Green roofs and natural ventilation enhance the agricultural setting. An embankment with water run-off facilities guards against flooding in the earthquake-prone area. Divided into Ka (offices, library, classrooms) and Kha (residential) blocks, the Friendship Centre hosts up to 80 trainees across four classrooms. Its simplicity and monastic feel woven into the local brickwork, creating a serene and functional space for learning and gatherings.

Now the mosque managed by Waqf Estate (Waqf State).

The Prachin Masta Mosque, also known as ‘Masta Masjid’, is located about 3 kilometers from Gobindganj Upazila Sadar and 1 kilometer from Phansitla Bazar in Kamardah Union. Situated on the west side of the highway to the north, it can be easily accessed by any vehicle. As one of the historic mosques in Gobindganj Upazila, Masta Mosque showcases unique architecture. Legend suggests it established by an influential and pious individual named Badshah Fakir, although details about him remain mysterious. Built during the Mughal period, the mosque measures 35 feet long and 16 feet wide, featuring four pillars at its corners and three equal-sized domes. Three entry doors welcome worshippers, while inside, prayers conducted in two rows. Windows are absent from its design, adding to its historic charm and allure.
